Child Protection

 Eternal Light Secondary School fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection.

“Nothing is more important than children’s welfare. Children who need help and protection deserve high quality and effective support as soon as a need is identified.”

“Whilst it is parents and carers who have primary care for their children, local authorities,
working with partner organisations and agencies, have specific duties to safeguard and
promote the welfare of all children in their area.”

All adults who are working with or on behalf of children have a responsibility to protect them.

There are, however, key people within schools, Education Bradford and the Local Authority who have specific responsibilities under child protection procedures. The names of those carrying out these responsibilities are;
